The Saudi Arabian government has announced that the country will be observing twenty different national holidays in 2023. These include both religious and secular holidays. The government has stated that these holidays are “important to maintain the unity of the nation and to provide an opportunity for social and economic activities”.
Saudi Arabia Calendar 2023 With Holidays
The Saudi Arabian calendar is a 12-month calendar with 29 days. The first day of the year is Jan. 1, and the last day of the year is Dec. 31.
1) Eid al-Fitr, or the Festival of Breaking the Fast, marks the end of Ramadan and celebrates Muslims’ victory over temptation.
2) Eid al-Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, celebrates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael.
3) Mawlid an-Nabi (or Prophet Muhammad’s birthday), also known as Arbaeen and Ashura, commemorates Muhammad’s birth in 622 AD.

Each month is divided into three days, with each day containing 24 hours.
